Transitional Housing
Retraining the Village offers transitional housing for homeless veterans, previously incarcerated men, and individuals recovering from opioid addiction. It has transitional houses located in East Palo Alto and Madera, California.

We recently opened up another transitional housing center in East Palo Alto in August 2020. We are excited to have a new classroom and additional job training and computer training courses for our clients!

independently living in his first apartment for the past 4 years.
Re-entry
H.O.M.E Program
(Helping Our Men Excel) utilizes the 4 roots” of our life: School, Work, Home, and Church
The H.O.M.E. re-entry program receives referrals from probation officers, treatment facilities, the Department of Corrections, San Mateo County of Health, and word of mouth.
The recovery action plan includes:

A financial management course

Peer support and in-house community meetings
3
Finding a primary medical care provider and completing a Medicaid application
4
Substance use disorder treatment and long-term recovery supports
5
Mentorship with members of the community who have recovered from substance use
6
Communication with probation officers, bi-monthly meetings with probation officers.
